King of Romance' Yash Chopra dies

King of Romance Yash Chopra dies after contracting dengue fever. He was 80.



Yash Raj Chopra (27 September 1932 – 21 October 2012) was an Indian film directorscreenwriter and film producer, predominantly working in Hindi cinema. as "King of Romance," Chopra had a Hindi-language movie-making career that spanned five decades with major hits including "Deewar" , "Dil To Pagal Hai".

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh described Chopra as an “icon of Indian cinema” who entertained many generations with his rare creativity.
